Experts from Protiviti and Retailer 99 Cents Only Stores to Present PCI Compliance Strategy in Webinar for Organizations that Accept Credit Card Payments

A flurry of new regulations, guidelines and clarifications designed to improve credit card security at the point of purchase has retailers and other organizations that accept credit card payments - especially their internal audit, information technology and information security staff - scrambling. With three new pieces of guidance on the docket for Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance, as well as larger fines for non-compliance, these companies face not only external pressures to beat deadlines but also internal pressures to meet requirements in a strategic and cost-effective manner.

Experts from Protiviti, a global business consulting and internal audit firm, and 99 Cents Only Stores will delve into the changes and updates issued by MasterCard and the PCI Security Standards Council, and discuss compliance strategy during a complimentary webinar, “Changes in the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.” The 90-minute session will cover the most common areas impacting merchants, such as changes and interpretations released in the last six months - including interpretations presented at the September PCI Security

This will be done in the Standards Council’s annual Community Meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. PST/1:00 p.m. CST/2:00 p.m. Special guests include Jay Dittmar, Assistant Vice President, IT Operations and Infrastructure, 99 Cents Only Stores and Jeff Sanchez, Managing Director, IT Effectiveness & Control.
